What is the modal price in a mandi?
The modal price is the price at which most of the day's lots were sold at that mandi. It sits between the minimum and maximum price, and is the best single figure for a typical sale. It is a reported benchmark, not a guaranteed price for your lot.
Where do these mandi prices come from?
From the Government of India's daily market price feed on data.gov.in (AGMARKNET), which mandis report to. AgriFolk collects it twice a day and shows each price with the date the mandi reported it and the time it was collected.
Why is today's price missing for my mandi?
Mandis report at different times, and some do not report every day. A missing day is shown as a gap and never filled in. Use the date filter or the trend chart to see the last day your mandi reported.
Are prices per kilogram or per quintal?
All prices on this page are rupees per quintal (100 kg). Divide by 100 for the price per kilogram.
How is the distance to a mandi worked out?
As a straight line from the centre of your district, or from your device's location if you share it, to the centre of the mandi's district, using OpenStreetMap. Road distance is usually longer.
Does this page tell me when to sell?
