Where students actually find internships, and how to ask.
Most agriculture internships are arranged college by college rather than advertised publicly.
How: Ask the placement cell and your department head in the same week. They often hear separately.
Research institutes take students for summer and project work, usually without advertising it.
How: Write to the institute directly with your marksheet and what you want to learn. A short letter works better than a form.
Seed, fertiliser and machinery companies run structured summer programmes, mostly for second and third year students.
How: Their own careers pages, and their stalls at agriculture fairs, which is where they actually recruit.
An FPO will rarely advertise, and will often say yes to a student who turns up with a specific offer of work.
How: Go through your block agriculture officer, who knows which ones are active.
