Mandi figures are the average modal price across every market that reported on the most recent day, within the last fortnight. A single mandi near you may be paying more or less than this average.
Worth knowing
- Sugarcane is not covered by MSP. It has a Fair and Remunerative Price set separately.
- MSP is a price the government announces, not a price every buyer must pay. Whether you can actually sell at MSP depends on a procurement centre operating near you during the buying window.
- Rates are for Fair Average Quality. Produce graded below that fetches less.
- Source: the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices publishes every crop year at cacp.da.gov.in. A crop whose figure the Commission has not yet announced for the year is left off rather than carried over from last year.
