What we store and the terms you are using
Protect your crop, animals, family and machines, mostly at government-paid rates
India's main crop insurance. You pay at most 2% (Kharif), 1.5% (Rabi) or 5% (commercial crops); the government pays the rest.
Pays on readings at the notified weather station. No crop cutting needed, and claims are automatic.
Insurance for coconut palms. You pay 25% of the premium (50% if your state does not share it).
Private crop cover you can buy any time. Pick 1 major and 1 minor peril, from ₹499 per acre. Tenants can buy.
The ring is your share. The government pays the rest of the premium.
Ring scale: a full circle is 25%, so small shares stay visible.
Late claims earn you 12% a year from the insurer. For private policies: insurer, then IRDAI Bima Bharosa, then the Insurance Ombudsman.
From the AgriFolk Finance hub research report, checked 24 Sep 2026, and the official sources it names below.
Information only. Final terms are set by the insurer. AgriFolk never collects premiums.
