Kisan Credit Card (KCC)
All banks, RRBs, cooperative banks and PACS under RBI rulesAll India
A running credit limit for crop costs, post-harvest needs and farm upkeep. The cheapest farm credit in India.
What it is
The KCC is a card with a credit limit. You draw money for seeds, fertiliser, labour and other crop costs, and repay each crop loan by harvest.
Loans up to ₹3 lakh are given at 7%. If you repay on time the government gives 3% back, so the real rate is 4%. On a ₹3 lakh loan, repaying on time saves ₹9,000 a year.
The ₹5 lakh KCC limit announced in Budget 2025 is not yet backed by an RBI or NABARD circular for the 4% rate. The 4% is confirmed only up to ₹3 lakh.
