Third-party insurance is required by law for tractors on public roads. It includes ₹15 lakh owner-driver accident cover.

What it is

Motor Vehicles Act, section 146, makes third-party cover compulsory on public roads. Comprehensive cover adds own damage from accident, fire, theft and flood.

Trolleys and implements need separate cover. Check the current MoRTH third-party premium notice before you buy.
